Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced APAC Contracts Counsel to provide legal support for our operations in the Asia-Pacific region. This role will involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong legal expertise, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Drafting & Review: Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, customer contracts, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
  • Legal Advice: Provide legal guidance on contract-related issues, risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the APAC region.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, sales, and finance, to understand business needs and ensure contracts align with company objectives.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and work with external counsel as necessary.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to contract management and compliance.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on contract-related matters and best practices.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments affecting contracts in the APAC region.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree from a recognized institution.
  • Admission to practice law in [specific jurisdiction if required].
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract law, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
